About me
Building work has been in the Smale family since at least the time of Samuel Charles Smale (1854 - 1909) who built many of the classic Victorian Villas you see in Brighton to this day. I personally honed my general building skills converting a large Maisonette into two flats back in the late 80'S and helping with both plumbing and electrics for an outdoor activities center in Scotland. This was followed by the complete restoration of two Victorian properties in Windsor during the 90's.
A career in the IT industry followed (all the while doing silly amounts of DIY!) and after a contract ended I found myself doing lots of jobs for friends and family. It made me realise just how much rewarding general building work can be than corporate hell and so I decided to once again concentrate on the building side of things.
Unlike many (but not all) builders I fully understand the importance of customer service, so I turn up when I say, keep you fully informed at all times and charge what I initially quoted.
